The MotoGP World Championship is going to be back in Indianapolis for the seventh time in 2014. The Red Bull GP will be held from August 8 to 10 on a revamped motorbike circuit to create super exciting action.
This year, the dates are a week earlier than the previous years. This championship has provided a great deal of excitement to add to the diversity of Indianapolis Motor Speedway ever since its inauguration in 2008.
Riders in Moto2, Moto3, and MotoGP will compete on the revamped course on August 10 2014. IMS officials have worked with Dorna Sports and FIM to create a 2.645-mile 16-turn circuit that is laden with exciting new braking zones and turn configurations to create more passing opportunities.
The complete infield circuit area will be renovated to create a smoother and more uniform racing surface. Visitors can witness counter clockwise on-track motorcycle action at IMS if they book at the right time. Since it is always a very large convention, racing fans are usually unable to get a hotel room. To make sure that you get comfortable hotels near Indianapolis, book early.
