‘Tis the season for screaming!  With the crisp autumn air and the turning of the leaves comes the craving for candy apples and ghostly thrills.  If you plan on taking a Halloween getaway this year, make hotel reservations Indianapolis and enjoy Indy’s variety of haunted houses, many just a short drive from the hotel.  The Indianapolis Children’s Museum—the largest children's museum in the world—is hosting two such haunts from October 13-31 as part of their 49th annual Wicked Workshop.  Perfect for all ages, the Workshop offers a Lights On show for your little pumpkins who might scare easily, as well as Defender Direct’s Frightening Hours for those older kids who dare to be scared.  Visit their website to purchase tickets and get more information.

If the Wicked Workshop doesn’t sound wicked enough for you, below are some other haunted attractions just a short distance away from our three star hotel downtown Indianapolis hotel:

  • Frite Lodge. Visiting Frite Lodge is a great way to help the needy while enjoying Halloween fun.  This non-profit haunted house is run by volunteers in support of local Indiana food pantries.
  • Necropolis: City of Perpetual Darkness. One of Haunted Attractions Magazine’s top 25 haunts, Necropolis features a haunted experience spooky enough to satisfy daring kids and bold adults alike, as this attraction is not one for the very young or faint of heart.
