Providing Hotel Accommodations, Indianapolis. Scentsy Family, Have No Fear!

The Scentsy Family Reunion 2013 is no joke for Scentsy lovers, buyers, and sellers alike. This event will be held in the Indianapolis Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium from July 10th through 12th of this year. During this event, current and future Scentsy salespeople will be given business tips and trained to better sell the product by experts. New products will be released and new friendships and business networking connections will be made at this event. Kelly Clarkson will also be performing, giving guests the chance to mix both work and play. Since that combination doesn't happen very often, we don't blame you for jumping right into it!

For anyone unfamiliar with Scentsy, this brand sells candles that do not use wicks, creating less of a mess for home owners. They also now sell body products and have expanded their collection to provide all different types of fragrances -- one for everyone, it seems like. Scentsy products have revolutionized the market for products that make your home smell better. If you're at all intrigued or wanting to know what Scentsy is all about, look at some hotels near Lucas Oil Stadium (yes, we do fall into that category *wink*).

If you're part of the Scentsy family or looking to join it, we'd love to have the opportunity to bring you as much comfort as possible if you choose our Indianapolis downtown hotel for your accommodations. We like what the Scentsy family is doing, and we want to support all of you in any way we can.

There are officially 92 days until the 2011 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon which occurs this year on May 7, 2011.

This year marks the 35th year of the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and it's important to know that the Mini has sold-out for the past nine years with 35,000 registrants, and an additional 4,000 participants in the Finish Line 500 Festival 5K.

The 500 Festival Mini-Marathon is the largest half-marathon in the USA and the seventh largest running event in America.

Naptown Roller Girls & Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Downtown

On Saturday, February 5th, the Naptown Tornado Sirens roller derby team will compete against the Arch Rival All Stars from St. Louis, MO.  Cupid Strikes Back is the first event to be held at the new Indianapolis Convention Center.  The Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Downtown hotel's near Indianapolis Convention Center by about six blocks.

I have only been to see NRG compete twice in the last year.  It's been fun each time, no matter if you're sitting in the stands or on the floor in the "suicide seats."  These girls are bad!  They're competitive and athletic to squeeze through the opposing team's blockers or swerve to avoid a hip check to stay in bounds...all while on four wheels.  Check out a video from DoItIndy from the 12/4/10 bout at Pepsi Coliseum.

The Tornado Sirens are sanctioned by the WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association).  WFTDA oversees more than 160 leagues across the U.S.

I really want to be a part of this event and offered NRG a special rate for their fans that weekend.  Whether you want to stay Friday, Saturday or both nights that weekend, I've got an Indianapolis hotel deal for you!  Just click here to make your downtown Indianapolis hotel accommodations and show your support for the Naptown Roller Girls and their Tornado Sirens!  I'll be there!

You can get tickets online OR visit one of these local vendors to avoid the Ticketmaster fees.
@ Strange Brew Coffee (Greenwood)
@ Indy CD & Vinyl (Broadripple, cash only)
@ Homespun Indy (Irvington, cash only)
@ Silver in the City (Downtown, cash only)
@ Indy Swank (Fountain Square, cash only)
@ Marten House Hotel (1801 W. 86th St., cash only)
@ IUPUI Jagtag card services office

or from your favorite roller girl!

Downtown Indy Featured in Article About Indianapolis Cultural Trail

Last summer, Mike Campbell wrote about the Indianapolis Cultural Trail and how our Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Downtown will be connected to it.  (You can read his blog here.) Downtown Indy was featured in an article on Project for Public Spaces, "a nonprofit planning, design and educational organization dedicated to helping people create and sustain public spaces that build stronger communities."  Our city was featured in an article next to cities like Hong Kong, Melbourne, Zurich and Bogota who are all transforming, or have transformed, to become a greener, less auto-reliant cities.

Indy Cultural TrailThe Indianapolis Cultural Trail is a pedestrian and bicycle focused greenway which, when completed, will connect many cultural districts in the central city.  As our green hotel Indianapolis is 1/2 block away from Monument Circle, we are essentially connected.  I think the City of Indianapolis is doing great things with this project.  The Cultural Trail will connect hotels near Indianapolis Convention Center to the Murat, Conseco Fieldhouse, Fountain Square district and more.

I can't wait to move back downtown and ride my bike to work on this trail!

For more information on Project for Public Spaces and to read the article, visit their website.
