A Simple Guide to Bus/RV Parking in Downtown Indianapolis

So you've perused all the downtown Indy hotels you could find and have decided on us. If you're from out of town, you may be using a rental coach or relying on our local public transportation. Either way, we want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Because of this, we want to keep you informed about our policies regarding parking. This will help to ease any stress you have while on your vacation (and we undoubtedly want to keep that at a minimum; after all, you're on vacation).

If you've taken advantage of our Indianapolis group travel options, you may have rented a bus to transport everyone more easily. In order to gain access to our onsite parking meters, you need to apply for a parking permit at least 14 days in advance. This application will be passed on to the City of Indianapolis by one of our managers. Once approved, a manager will forward the approval email to you, as well as information on paying for and printing the parking permit. The application fee is $32, while the processing fee is $85. The actual parking meters cost $21 a day, so please take all of these fees into consideration when deciding on parking options. If you are staying overnight, keep in mind that the night counts as one day and the morning counts as another. Also remember that a single bus requires three meters due to its length, but only five meters for two buses if they are parked back to back alongside our three star hotel Indianapolis. also offers parking options for buses, but their parking lot is only six blocks due south of our Indianapolis downtown hotel. Visit their website, type in “Indianapolis” and click the “find parking” link. You will then want to click on the LaRosa South Bus Parking Lot Reserve. To accurately reserve a space, you need to know your definite arrival and departure dates/times. Make sure that your bus is no longer than forty feet before you reserve a spot. Please see directional map below.

Indianapolis Area Hotel Hilton Garden Inn Remains #Chuckstrong

Indy continues to remain strong with Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano as he begins his second round of chemotherapy and continues to win his battle against leukemia.  Doctors say that Pagano’s white blood cell count is normal and he is in currently in remission.  The team and interim coach Bruce Arians are hopeful that he will return to the field for the final home game on Sunday, December 30 against Houston.

Pagano was diagnosed with a form of leukemia in September and has been absent from all games since his diagnosis.  He has had very little contact with other people due to his weakened immune system as a result of undergoing chemotherapy, but did make it out to talk to his team during a game against the Miami Dolphins on November 4.

Several members of the team shaved their heads in support of Pagano on November 7, and those who didn’t colored their hair.  Banners with the saying #Chuckstrong hang in each end zone of the Lucas Oil Stadium as a sign of support from the rest of Indy as well.

If you are interested in visiting Indianapolis for Pagano’s potential return to the final game or to show your support for Arians and the players before then, the Indianapolis Hilton Garden Inn is one of many hotels near Lucas Oil Stadium provides convenient and affordable accommodations.  Make reservations with an Indianapolis downtown hotel and show that you, too, are #Chuckstrong.

Downtown Indianapolis Hilton Garden Inn Undergoing Major Renovation

The Indianapolis Hilton Garden Inn has always been dedicated to providing excellent hotel accommodations Indianapolis.  We continually update and renovate our facilities in the best interests of our customers, and our latest project proves to be no exception.

That’s right, the Hilton Garden Inn Indy has exciting news: we will be welcoming a brand new addition next year!  After remaining vacant since the hotel’s opening in 2003, the 16th floor of the hotel is being renovated into suites.  The floor will become home to seven large suites and one grand suite, all designed to make your stay at the Indianapolis downtown hotel even more enjoyable.  Most details are still forthcoming (sketches, renderings, and design boards are currently in the making), but the rooms are unofficially named the Fletcher Suites after the historic building’s origin: the Fletcher Savings and Trust Building.

The estimated time of completion is spring 2013, at which time the suites will be available to reserve through all usual channels (online, hotel phone, and Hilton reservations).  Follow the renovation progress on the hotel’s Facebook page and, upon completion, be sure to see for yourself what all the fuss is about and book a room at the newly renovated hotel Indianapolis.
