What are you plans for June 20th – 24th? If you still have not finalized anything, it would be great to come to the National Congress of Christian Education in Indy. 

On Wednesday, June 22, the keynote speaker at the Congress President's Banquet will be Donna Brazile.  Donna will be speaking at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis.  If you are interested in attending this portion of the event, then you have to order tickets by May 2, 2011.  General admission tickets are $50 and VIP seats are $110.  You can download a ticket form online.

On Saturday, February 5th, the Naptown Tornado Sirens roller derby team will compete against the Arch Rival All Stars from St. Louis, MO.  Cupid Strikes Back is the first event to be held at the new Indianapolis Convention Center.  The Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Downtown hotel's near Indianapolis Convention Center by about six blocks.

The Tornado Sirens are sanctioned by the WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association).  WFTDA oversees more than 160 leagues across the U.S.

I remember when Circle Centre Mall opened. I was not yet in high school and would visit a shop called The Junkyard in order to get Manic Panic hair color in and Hard Candy nail polish. The mall has come a long way since then and I no longer have to ask Mom for a ride. Working at one of the downtown Indy hotels near Circle Centre Mall, I can visit on my lunch break or after work. March 10, 2011 marks the beginning of the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament, which will be held at the Conseco Fieldhouse.  This will be the fourth time that the tournament will be held in the city.

The teams' brackets will be revealed on March 6, the last day of the regular season.  The bracket is based on the final team standings during the regular season.

I met with Jillian's a couple weeks ago and was treated to lunch. Do you know Jillian's? It's that restaurant/bar/club/bowling alley/billiards room/arcade entertainment venue in downtown Indianapolis just a few blocks from the Hilton Garden Inn. The food was delicious!
