Historic Hotel Indianapolis Offers New Keurig Coffee Makers

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters have partnered with Hilton Garden Inn to upgrade the hotel’s in-room beverage and coffee offering. There are more than 73,000 HGI guest rooms in the United States and Canada, and they all now have the option to brew a fresh and hot cup of coffee using the Keurig K130 brewing system.

At Hilton Garden Inn, we believe that travel should be a pleasant experience. This is why we keep looking to enhance our services and guestrooms, trying to offer a more comfortable and convenient experience.

Carbonview Research, Inc. conducted a survey on 500 travelers and studied the amenities they preferred in their rooms. The report said that in-room coffee was the second most popular amenity after Wi-Fi.

There are  many people who want to start their day by brewing a perfect cup of coffee in their room. Since different people have different preferences, it was a good idea to provide coffeemaker machines in each room instead of providing hotel made coffee. HGI partnered with GMCR to have Keurig brewers to guestrooms for a perfect morning. These single cup coffee makers can make steaming hot coffee in no time.

At our Indianapolis Downtown Hotel, each guestroom will have four complimentary Keurig cup packs. Additionally, guests can purchase specialty beverages from the 24 hour Pavilion Pantry.

Hilton Garden Inn’s Great American Grill Now Offers Sun King Sunlight Cream Ale

The historic hotel Indianapolis Hilton Garden Inn’s Great American Grill is now carrying one of Indy’s best-loved local craft beers: Sun King Sunlight Cream Ale.  In support of the local brewery, the Grill will now offer 16 oz. cans of this beer in their first-floor restaurant, a great way to get a taste of Indy without ever having to leave your hotel.  The Sunlight Cream Ale won the Silver medal at the 2010 World Beer Cup in the Golden or Blonde Ale category.  Its first keg was sold in 2009, and it has been rapidly gaining popularity ever since.

Sun King is “the first full scale production brewery in Indy since the Indianapolis Brewing Company closed its doors in 1948” and has since become one of the most popular fixtures in Indy.  If you are a lady who enjoys drinking beer but would also like an easier way to tote it, check out the local Growler Girls, who are currently selling hand sewn growler bags, providing an easy way to carry your beer and any other items that may make your stay around and in downtown Indianapolis hotels more enjoyable.

If you’re new to the city, a first-time visitor, or simply an Indy native who hasn’t yet gotten a taste of local Indy craft beer, make hotel reservations Indianapolis and help support Indy’s local economy while enjoying some of the best beer around.

The Indianapolis Hilton Garden Inn has always been dedicated to providing excellent hotel accommodations Indianapolis.  We continually update and renovate our facilities in the best interests of our customers, and our latest project proves to be no exception.

That’s right, the Hilton Garden Inn Indy has exciting news: we will be welcoming a brand new addition next year!  After remaining vacant since the hotel’s opening in 2003, the 16th floor of the hotel is being renovated into suites.  The floor will become home to seven large suites and one grand suite, all designed to make your stay at the Indianapolis downtown hotel even more enjoyable.  Most details are still forthcoming (sketches, renderings, and design boards are currently in the making), but the rooms are unofficially named the Fletcher Suites after the historic building’s origin: the Fletcher Savings and Trust Building.

The estimated time of completion is spring 2013, at which time the suites will be available to reserve through all usual channels (online, hotel phone, and Hilton reservations).  Follow the renovation progress on the hotel’s Facebook page and, upon completion, be sure to see for yourself what all the fuss is about and book a room at the newly renovated hotel Indianapolis.
